Xbox Series X / S shipped approximately 3.5 million devices
As you know, 4.5 million PS5s were shipped in 2020, according to Sony's own assertion. While Microsoft does not prefer to disclose its sales figures or shipments of its devices, famous analyst Daniel Ahmad hinted - implicitly - that Xbox Series X / S shipments have reached 3.5 million devices.
Ahmad's disclosure came in a comment he made in response to IGN journalist Ryan McCaffrey, who questioned the volume of sales of the two newborn Xbox consoles out of knowledge - not to spark a "platform war."
And the response by the analyst came as follows:
Decrease a little over a million from the PS5 number and you won't be far away.
I wonder what Xbox Series X|S's number is so far, not as a "console war" thing, but because at this point it's literally a "how many have Sony and Microsoft made" thing – since every console made from both companies is being sold. https://t.co/7KFQmaSu0S

Of course, only Microsoft itself can confirm this number. In fact, that will not happen - the tech giant is not planning to announce any detailed numbers, even saying that the Xbox Series X / S launch is just the largest in the company's history.
It is noteworthy that «Microsoft» recently reaffirmed that the Series X and Series S devices sold more than any other Xbox device during the month of launch.
