On Konate's performance: "I've been impressed with him since his first appearance in training; he has great potential, remarkable composure, I didn't expect him to adapt at that speed."

Klopp commented on Liverpool's qualification for the Carabao Cup final, saying, "It wasn't a night for shining... and we know what to expect in the face-off against Chelsea."

Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp spoke about his team's qualification for the English League Cup final and the anticipated clash against Chelsea. Liverpool advanced to the final at the expense of Fulham, after a 1-1 draw in the second leg on Wednesday, having previously secured a 2-1 win in the first leg. Klopp told Sky Sports, "It's fantastic, we've been through this experience before, and we know what to expect, Chelsea again, what a story." He added, "You should never take it for granted if you're part of a team that can qualify for trophies." The Liverpool coach continued, "This was a complete cup tie, an open game, they started the second half more aggressively, we didn't score, they equalized, but the players really delivered a good performance and I'm really happy." He elaborated, "Nobody thought it would be easy, and it wasn't, Fulham did everything and threw everything onto the pitch. We started well not just with the goal, but the whole performance was really flexible." The German coach emphasized, "After half an hour, the game became even more open, we should have scored a second goal, and in the second half, we should have scored a third goal."

Klopp emphasized, "The only thing that matters in the end is that we've qualified. The young players were amazing, and they were extremely happy to see their reaction in the dressing room." He insisted, "They are all exceptional, and they all worked extremely hard. This wasn't a night for shining; it was a night for qualifying for the final. I heard from Marco Silva how much reaching the final meant for Fulham, and we had to prove that, and we did." Klopp pointed out, "Everything about the Carabao Cup final is fantastic, and in this regard, we need to focus on all the other competitions as well, and that's what we'll do." Regarding playing the final at Wembley Stadium, he stated, "It's extremely ideal. Wembley is a special place, and I'm really happy that everyone involved can experience this. The stadium will be filled with the colors blue and red; it's a good thing."
