Marca: Real Madrid intends to appeal against Casemiro's suspension
Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that Real Madrid intends to appeal the yellow card received by Brazilian Casemiro in the Champions League against Atalanta.
Real Madrid defeated Atalanta yesterday with a clean goal, in the match that brought the two teams together at the "Atleti Azure Italia" stadium, in the first leg of the 16th round of the Champions League.
Casemiro was yellow carded in the 22nd minute, after the Brazilian interfered on Duvan Zapata, and he would not be able to be present in the second leg, as he received the third card, to be suspended.
According to the newspaper, Real Madrid officials believe that Casemiro did not interfere strongly with Zapata, and does not deserve a yellow card.
The newspaper indicated that the royal club will file an appeal with the European Football Association "UEFA", in order to cancel the yellow card and lift the suspension.
