Mohamed Salah after scoring 100 goals in the English Premier League: I want to score more before I leave Liverpool!

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah spoke about the achievement he achieved in yesterday's match against Leeds United, by reaching the 100th goal in the English Premier League.

The two teams met in the fourth round of the English Premier League at Island Road, where Liverpool won three goals without a response.

Mohamed Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool in the 20th minute of the first half, reaching his 100th goal in the league championship, and becoming the fifth-fastest player in the history of the tournament to achieve that number.

  • Mohamed Salah said in statements to the Qatari “Bein Sports” network: “I am very happy that I scored 100 goals in the Premier League, I scored 98 goals with Liverpool in the tournament (and two goals with Chelsea), and I have two goals left until I reach the centenary with Liverpool in the championship as well. But I'm proud of what I've achieved."

  • He added: “It was not easy for me to score so many goals as a winger, this is difficult, but I always strive to score in order to help the team and get points, this is the most important, I am very happy with that.”
  • He continued: “I think it is exceptional to score so many goals, especially with Liverpool. I hope to be the fastest in achieving that number in the club, but the most important thing for me is to win all the matches, and to score more goals before I leave.” Liverpool, I'm enjoying the time and trying to help the team."

  • Mohamed Salah's comments on the issue of leaving Liverpool come in light of speculation about his future at Anfield, where his current contract will expire in the summer of 2023, and there is no agreement yet on renewing his contract.

  • Liverpool renewed the contracts of many of the team's players in the summer, led by Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, and others, while there is no indication yet that there is an agreement regarding the renewal of Mohamed Salah's contract.
