ESPN reveals Liverpool's summer transfer plan

  • On May 28, Liverpool announced the inclusion of Konate from Leipzig, on a long-term contract, for 36 million pounds.

  • And press reports had claimed that Liverpool would not be active again in the transfer market and did not intend to conclude any other deals.

  • But the global network, in a report, confirmed that the third-placed in the English Premier League intends to spend another 50 million pounds.

  • The network said that due to the economic crisis that the club is suffering from as a result of the Corona pandemic, it will not be able to spend huge sums, as it considers that spending nearly 90 million pounds is a good thing in light of this crisis.

  • The network indicated that it is not known in which position Liverpool will pay the 50 million pounds, but the Merseyside Reds administration is still considering contracting a new midfielder or striker to strengthen the front line.
