Surface Laptop 4 launch is imminent
Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Headphones 2 saw plenty of rumors of a possible release in April, and a new support document published by Microsoft mistakenly confirmed the reports.
Earlier there were a lot of rumors about Surface Laptop 4, including specifications and performance tests for both Intel and AMD processors.
The company is planning a hypothetical event to announce the Surface Laptop 4 in the third or fourth week of April.
The additional guide on the next generation of Microsoft hardware appeared across two download pages - Intel Firmware and AMD Firmware, and the Firmware Page also confirmed that the Surface Laptop lineup retains AMD and Intel options.
Microsoft's support page does not provide further details about the laptop, but a report released by WinFuture last month provides the details.
The report states that the AMD processors used will be Ryzen 4000 series, including the Ryzen 5 4680U and Ryzen 7 4980U.
These processors represent an evolution compared to the Ryzen 3000 series processors used in the Surface Laptop 3 for 2019, but it is not known why the company has moved away from AMD's new Ryzen 5000 processors.
On the Intel side, it is assumed that there are 11th generation chips, such as: Core i5-1145G7 and Core i7-1185G7, with integrated Xe graphics.
Otherwise, it is said: Surface Laptop 4's specs and looks are very much in line with previous models.
It is clear that there are two 13.5-inch and 15-inch models, with a maximum of 32 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage, while the screen maintains an aspect ratio of 3: 2.
Microsoft has not yet made any official announcements about when to release its new laptops, but given that the support pages are already popping up, the release cannot be far off.
