Liverpool contacts Brighton for Bissouma
According to the latest press reports received on Friday, the English club Liverpool, which is deeply impressed by the Ivorian midfielder, Yves Bissuma, star of Brighton & Hove Albion, and wants to join him, during the upcoming summer transfer window.
- Liverpool wants to include Bissuma, in order to be a substitute for the Dutch international, Georginio Wijnaldum, whose contract expires at the end of the current season and has not reached an agreement with the Reds on the renewal.
- According to the British newspaper "Express", the Englishman, Mike Edwards, the sporting director of Liverpool FC, had contacted officials in Brighton to sign Bissouma.
- The newspaper pointed out that Edwards’s call did not stop only when Brighton’s position on his sale to Liverpool was known, but the Reds’ sporting director also inquired about the personality of the 24-year-old, in order to understand how his arrival could affect the team and affect their choices in midfield.
- Bissouma has a contract with Brighton that expires two years later, on 30 June 2023, and the English club wants 40 million pounds to sell him.
- It is noteworthy that this season, Bissouma played 34 matches in various competitions with Brighton and managed to score two goals.
