The date of the official announcement of Konate's transfer to Liverpool
According to British press reports, the English club Liverpool is preparing to officially announce the signing of the contract with French defender Brahima Konate from Leipzig.
- Konate has been a goal for Liverpool since last January, and the Reds failed to sign him during the winter transfer window, to postpone the decision to next summer.
- The English "Mirror" newspaper reported that Konate finished all the details and agreements with Liverpool, and the deal became dependent on the official announcement only.
- The newspaper indicated that Liverpool will pay 32 million pounds to Leipzig to abandon the 21-year-old defender, and the official announcement will be on the first of May.
- Liverpool is seeking to repeat what happened with Fabinho and Naby Keita, specifically the latter who also joined from Leipzig and announced his joining a few days before the end of the season, in May 2018.
