How can you create conversation folders in the Telegram application to organize your conversations?
The Telegram application features a lot of great features that are not provided by other messaging applications, and one of these features is a feature called (Conversation Folders) Chat Folders that allows you to save conversations in folders, allowing you to separate work conversations from chats of family and friends, then Easily accessed through the tabs that appear at the top of the application interface.
The application also offers an archive feature that allows you to get rid of conversations that you do not need now, but you may want to return to them at some point in the future, making it easier for you to sort and organize your conversations.
How to archive conversations in the Telegram application
- Go to the Telegram application on your phone.
- Choose the conversation, group, or channel you want to archive, then tap and swipe left.
- The conversation will go to the Archived Chats folder that will appear at the top of the conversation list, and you can always access it by clicking on this folder, and you can unarchive it through it as well.
Note: Don't worry about losing messages just because you have archived a conversation, because once a new message arrives in an archived conversation, the conversation will automatically move from the (Archived Chats) folder to your inbox.
How to manage archived chats:
You can archive as many conversations as you want, and you can also pin them in your preferred order within the archived chats folder.
- Tap on the Archived chats folder.
- Select the conversation, group, or channel you want to unarchive, then tap and swipe left.
- To place a conversation at the top of the folder, long-press on it, then tap the (Pin) icon that resembles the pin at the top of the screen.
- Press the speakerphone icon to mute the conversation, then specify how long you want the conversation notifications to be ignored (1 hour, 8 hours, 2 days, ...).
How to create conversation folders in the Telegram app:
You can create folders for different types of conversations in the Telegram application, where you can create a folder for business conversations, and create a specific folder for group conversations or channels, allowing better control over your conversations, and the separation between your personal and professional life.
To create a folder in Telegram, you can follow the following steps:
- Go to the Telegram application on your phone.
- Click on the options menu, which is about three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner.
- Click on the Settings option.
- Scroll down to the Folders option, then click on it.
- Click on the option to create a new folder.
- In the (folder name) field, type the name you want.
- Click on the option (Add Chats), then select the conversations that you want to add to this folder.
- Click on the "Save" option located in the upper right corner.
How to delete a conversation from a folder:
You can at any time add new conversations to a folder, and you can also delete chats from it, all you have to do is follow the following steps:
- Open the Telegram app.
- Click on the options menu, which is about three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner.
- Click on the Settings option.
- Click on the option (folders) Folders.
- Click on the folder you want to change, to open it. Here, you can click on the (Add Conversations) option to add a new conversation. Or long-press on a conversation and then press the option to remove it.
- You can also click on the Remove Folder option at the bottom of the screen to delete the entire folder.
