"Bakkt" company launches its bitcoin app

The company "Bakkt" specialized in trading bitcoin futures, which was launched and operated by the "Intercontinental Exchange", has released its long-awaited application.

The new application from “Bakkt” will enable customers to interact with BTC and other cryptocurrency assets directly through the platform.

In addition, the company has partnered with several notable companies, including Best Buy and Starbucks.

  • Bakkt application launch:

“Bakkt” was launched in 2018, which allows institutional investors to receive Bitcoin BTC offers through its regulated platform.

The company has promoted that it has been releasing an app for years.

Earlier this week, it announced that the app had finally arrived.

According to the advertisement:
The app will be a digital wallet that combines bitcoin and other forms of digital currencies into one platform.

The app will enable customers to convert participating reward points into cash or use the primary cryptocurrency as a payment method.
The official release of the app comes after the invite-only early access program, in which 500,000 users took numerous tests.

At launch, customers will be able to download it from various smartphone stores, including the "Apple Store" and "Play Store".

From what was mentioned in the announcement also:
The average consumer has a wealth of digital assets, from gift cards to loyalty points to bitcoin, but they lack the tools to track their value and use it appropriately.
We are pleased to introduce the Bakkt app to the public as a step along our journey to expand the reach of digital currencies, making them available to all.

  •  "Bakkt", "Starbucks" and "Best Buy" app:

The announcement informed that "Bakkt", which is on its way to becoming a public joint-stock company, has entered into a partnership with prominent names such as "Starbucks" and "Best Buy".

Bakkt’s cooperation with the multinational coffee shop giant will enable customers to set up their Starbucks cards through the company's iOS app Bakkt.

The new service will allow them to convert loyalty points, rewards, bitcoin, travel miles, and gift cards in the "Bakkt" app into US dollars and recharge their "Starbucks" cards.

Mr. Karl Hebert, Vice President of Global Cards, Trade, and Payment at Starbucks, said:
Our teams worked closely together as “Bakkt” sought input in developing a unique and trusted payment experience that enables customers to unleash the value of their digital assets in the form of US dollars.
Another partnership with GolfNow will allow customers to use the “Bakkt” payment solutions app for more than 3.5 million users.
