Americans rush to buy homes after Elon Musk tweets
Americans rushed to buy homes in Texas after a tweet by Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk encouraging him to approach starbase, which he plans to build in the future.
- On March 30, Musk tweeted, “Please consider moving to a starbase or the bigger locations Brownsville or South Padre Island in Texas. Encourage your friends to do so!”
The American billionaire pointed out that the need for his company, "SpaceX" to hire engineers, technicians, builders and other professionals are increasing rapidly.
- The "TMZ" electronic newspaper reported that internet pioneers considered Musk's post an invitation, noting that local real estate agents immediately spotted an increase in the number of home purchase orders, describing the incident as the "Elon Musk effect."
Real estate insiders said calls are coming to them from all over the country, even from Kenya.
Elon Musk tweeted in early March, talking about building a new city in Texas, and promised that the dogs on the grounds of the city of starbase would be "treated very well." Much larger than the village of Boca Chica, where his company's space base is located.
Starbase will grow by several thousand people over the next year or two
