 Samsung is trying to attract iPhone users via iTest

Samsung is increasing its efforts to win over iPhone customers, as the smartphone maker has launched a new website called iTest, which allows iPhone users to try a little Samsung through a web app that mimics the Android experience.

The trial is being announced in New Zealand now, but the website can be accessed worldwide.

The new iTest from Samsung comes after Apple said in January: The iPhone 12 lineup has spurred an increase in smartphone users switching from Android to iPhone.

With that in mind, it is easy to understand why Samsung is now ramping up its attempts to convert iPhone users to Galaxy devices.

When you visit Samsung's iTest website, you are prompted to add the web app to the iPhone's home screen.

Once you do that, it turns into a shortcut to simulate a Samsung Galaxy device, and you can run it just like any other app and have some hands-on time with the Android interface.

Samsung said: You are about to try Samsung without changing the phone, although we cannot clone every function, you should quickly see that there is nothing scary about switching to the other side.

ITest gives iPhone users a simple glimpse of Samsung through their mobile browsers.

The experience may be limited, but it is part of meticulously designed marketing, as opening the camera application automatically plays a video in which the influencer (Logan Dodds) appears, which describes the features of the camera application from Samsung in the interface around it.

You can browse the Galaxy Store and change themes, and the banner image in the Galaxy Store naturally promotes Fortnite, which Apple removed from its App Store.

And when you are in the Samsung iTest app on an iPhone, you receive a variety of text notifications that simulate notifications in Android, along with phone calls that highlight different things to try and different ways to communicate with friends.

Samsung also uses this application as an opportunity to promote other Galaxy products, such as: Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Buds Live.

Many apps only allow you to look at splash screens, and there are also technical limitations for web apps.

And when you try to open the folder called Popular Applications, Samsung says: Don't worry, all the apps you love are available, most of them are Google products, and we're friends with Google.
