Klopp explains the condition of the injured in Liverpool and pays tribute to Leeds United
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp praised Leeds United, before the match that brings them together next Monday evening.
Leeds will host Liverpool at Island Road, in the 32nd round of the Premier League.
- Klopp said at the match press conference: "Leeds United is a great team. They have a different personality with Bielsa, in addition to the passion they have shown in past matches."
- He added: "It was a pleasure to see Leeds again in the Premier League. They won in the last round with 10 players over Manchester City, there are many that they have in front of us as well."
- He praised the team's striker Patrick Bamford: "What a player, before the season I heard that Leeds needed a scorer, I am happy that he proved people wrong. I don't know him but his career is great, and when I watch him I like his performance so much."
- And he added: "We must be in the best condition. We will enter the match in order to win. Do not be complacent in the remaining matches in order to qualify for the Champions League."
- On the case of Joe Gomez: "There is no real reaction yet, he is running, and in good condition like Virgil van Dyck, Matip and Henderson, but there is no specific date for his return."
- He stressed: "There is no new news about injuries, no new concerns, unusually recently."
- He defended his defender Phillips: "For me, Phillips and Capac are a strong partnership in defense, 4 games in a row, which we won in the presence of Matt and Weight."
He concluded: "Philips is evolving, as is the case for the entire team, the team must get used to each other."
