Klopp reveals the reason for not paying Jota and Wijnaldum against Arsenal
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp revealed the reason behind the presence of the duo, Diogo Gota and Georgino Wijnaldum, on the bench, in today's match against Arsenal.
The two teams meet shortly after the 30th round of the English Premier League, at Anfield.
Klopp announced the starting line-up for the match, with Jota and Vinaldom among the substitutes
In statements published by the English "Liverpool Echo" network, Klopp said: "Jota has played really intense matches with Portugal, the same for Vinaldom with the Netherlands."
- He added, "They felt a little tired because of their international participation. This is the reason for the changes. I am happy with the team. Now we have to perform as required of us, and I expect a good match."
- He concluded: "Arsenal is doing everything superbly offensively. They enjoy speed in attack. A good football team. If we defend them and play our way, we will have a chance or two, then we will try to win."
