Will Salah be a "joker paper" in the summer?
Since December of last year, the name of the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, has been linked to his exit from Liverpool after a five-year career in the castle of "Anfield" that witnessed the crowning of the "Merseyside giant" in the English League, the European Champions League, the European Super League, and the Club World Cup.
Salah, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "AS", set off a big surprise when he announced his desire to move to the Spanish League in the coming period and play for the two poles, Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Salah's possible exit from Liverpool began to escalate, and the reason is that the team has retreated significantly in terms of results, specifically at the level of the English Premier League, as several British reports have emerged that the English club will restore the team and its main and important strength will be Mohamed Salah.
But the question now is... Will Salah be the Joker card next summer?
- Real Madrid and Barcelona desire
Salah, in his European career, which started from the Swiss League with the Basel team, went through several other experiences in English and Italian stadiums, but the 28-year-old was not satisfied with his current experience with Liverpool, expressing his desire to move to Spain.
Playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona is Salah's dream, but will the latter's declared desire come true next summer? ..
In the beginning, talking about the situation of Real Madrid, the giant of the capital has been associated with many stars, but the duo Kylian Mbappe is the star of Paris Saint-Germain and the young scorer, Erling Haaland, at the top of the priorities of the royal club and its current president, Florentino Perez.
But, given that the duo Mbappe and Haaland reached the top of their levels, we will find that completing the deal for Real will be complicated due to the financial value required of Paris Saint-Germain or Borussia Dortmund.
Here it is possible that Salah is the alternative card for Perez, who wants to return the team again in the absence of last summer from completing any deal due to the current management's focus on redeveloping the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium.
On the other hand, ambitions began to increase in the camp of the Catalan club Barcelona, especially after Juan Laporta won the presidency of the club again, which is known for its strong deals, perhaps the most prominent of which is the contract with the Brazilian star Ronaldinho from Paris Saint-Germain.
Spanish press reports came out to confirm that Laporta had set his main goal next summer in order to strengthen the team, which had suffered in past seasons, especially in the Champions League.
Laporta's first goal, Borussia Dortmund Erling Haaland's top scorer, whose price will not be less than 150 million euros, but there is also an important goal in Laporta's future, which is to persuade Argentine star Lionel Messi to renew after a hot summer that almost saw the player leave the "Camp Nou" castle.
The last period witnessed a change in the scene in Messi's future with Barcelona, especially after Laporta took over, as the latter announced that he would try to persuade Messi to renew and the Argentine began to open the door again to stay.
But there is an alternative solution that we may see in Barcelona if Laporta does not reach an agreement with Messi, which is to enter into alternative goals to be the most prominent candidates, Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah.
- A huge deal
The British newspaper, "The Times", revealed in the past few hours, that Paris Saint-Germain was ready to make a huge deal next summer by hiring Salah.
The British newspaper explained several reasons that came in the Parisian club's thinking to sign a contract with Salah, at first the failure to reach an agreement with the team's star, Kylian Mbappe, to renew his contract, which ends in 2022.
The last period has witnessed attempts by the Parisian club to persuade Mbappe, but the French youth has not yet decided his future, either by renewing or leaving, to fulfill his dream of playing for Real Madrid.
The second reason, which is the difficulty of contracting Messi due to the player’s ability to renew his contract with Barcelona, which ends at the end of the current season.
The third reason, according to what was stated in the "Times" newspaper, is the economic aspect due to Salah's popularity in Africa, specifically in the north of the continent.
