How to use the Reading List feature
in the computer
- Update your Google browser to version 89.
- In a browser, open the webpage you want to save, then click the star icon next to the address bar on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
- From the list that appears to you, click on the option (Add to reading list).
- To access the Reading List, you will need the Bookmarks Bar to be visible, and you can make it visible by pressing (Ctrl + Shift + B) on your keyboard.
- You will see an additional option on the far right of the bookmarks bar called Reading list.
Click on it to see all the articles you have saved. Articles are saved in the list according to the unread pages at the top and the pages you read at the bottom. You can also see how long it has been since you added the page to the list.
- Mouse over the page to mark it as read or unread, or delete it from the list by pressing the (X) icon.
In an Android phone
- Open the Google Chrome app on your phone or tablet.
- Go to the page you want to save, and on the right side of the address bar, press the (more) option.
- From the list that appears to you, press the option (download) Download.
- To access the menu, press the three dots, then choose Reading List from the menu that appears.
- After reading the articles in this list, to delete them, press and hold the article you want to delete, then choose (Delete) Delete from the popup menu that appears to you.
On an iPhone or iPad
- Open the Google Chrome app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to the page that you want to save, and on the top left of the screen, press the Share icon.
- From the menu that appears, press the Read Later option.
- To access your Reading List later, tap the three dots at the bottom of the Chrome app screen.
- From the menu that appears, press the Reading List option.
- A screen will open for you containing the list of articles that you previously saved, where you will find the unread pages at the top and the readable pages at the bottom, while the pages marked with green marks are ready for offline reading.
- To manage the list, press the Edit option at the bottom of the screen.
- In the window that appears, you can select the read pages and delete them.
