The Sun: An upcoming clash between Liverpool and the Egyptian national team because of Mohamed Salah
The English newspaper "Mirror" was not the only one that dealt with the upcoming crisis at Liverpool FC due to Mohamed Salah, but there was also the newspaper "The Sun".
The coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, Shawky Gharib, said yesterday that Salah will be on the list to participate in the Tokyo Olympics.
The Olympic competitions will start next summer after having been postponed for a year due to the Corona pandemic.
Shawky Gharib confirmed that Salah will be in the Tokyo Olympics with the Egyptian national team, as one of the three players who are over age.
Gharib said that he intends to contact Liverpool later this March to discuss this issue
The Mirror newspaper confirmed that this would represent a crisis for Liverpool, as this means the absence of Salah from the preparatory period for the new season, and perhaps the beginning of the same season of the English Premier League.
But the English newspaper "The Sun" reported that the matter is not limited to this only, but there is another problem related this time to the Egyptian first team.
It is expected that Salah will be called up to participate with the Egyptian national team in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations this month.
The Pharaohs face Kenya on March 22, before facing the Comoros eight days later.
And if Egypt succeeds in qualifying for the African Championship, this means the absence of Mohamed Salah from the Liverpool team in the next January and February, as the competitions will be held in Cameroon.
The newspaper indicated that all these matters will spark a violent conflict between Liverpool on the one hand, and the Egyptian team (first and Olympic) on the other hand, and its only hero is Mohamed Salah.
