The Liverpool striker: It's one team I don't want to play in the Champions League quarter-finals
Portuguese international Diego Jota, the Liverpool striker, has revealed the team he hopes not to face the Reds in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Liverpool qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals, after overcoming Leipzig in the round of 16 with four goals to none, back and forth.
"I have always dreamed of playing in the European Champions League since I was a child, although I participated in this competition when I was in Porto," Jota said in statements to the British newspaper.
"But Porto never had the same ambitions as a team like Liverpool in this competition," he added.
He continued: "The Champions League is a knockout competition, and I think anything can happen, and it is clear that a lot of our attention is focused on this competition and the possibility of going far in it."
When asked if he imagined facing Porto in the quarter-finals, he replied: "Frankly no, I don't think so, because although Liverpool have won a victory over Porto before, but I think it will be a very complicated and emotional match for me, and I prefer that We will have another team to face. "
He concluded his remarks, saying: "I want to face Porto in the Champions League final, I will really want that."
Porto qualified for the quarter-finals, after eliminating Juventus, and the draw for the quarter-finals will take place tomorrow Friday at one o'clock in the afternoon Cairo time.
