The English newspapers published this morning, Wednesday, were interested in Manchester City flying to the top of the English Premier League after yesterday's beating Wolverhampton (4-1), in addition to highlighting the death of Liverpool legend Ian St John.

The newspaper "Daily Express" headlined: "Ian St. John .. Farewell to a real symbol .. Sir Kenny salutes the hero of Liverpool and the legend of television," in reference to the death of the Liverpool striker.


The Mirror newspaper wrote: "21 and Pep gets the key to the coronation," in reference to Manchester City's 21 successive victories.

And at the bottom it is titled on the death of Ian John: "The Man Who Made Liverpool".


The Daily Star also titled: "Jesus Secures the 21st Victory".


As for the "Daily Telegraph" newspaper, it titled: "The jubilant Jesus ... the bilateral hold of City to victory 21".
