Surface Laptop 4 may come with processors from AMD
Microsoft is planning to launch Surface Laptop 4 after the Surface Laptop 3 was one of the best laptops you can buy for a while.
And WinFuture appears to have gotten details about this upcoming device, and according to this report, Surface Laptop 4 is coming sometime in April.
According to information, Surface Laptop 4 comes with Intel and AMD options, and AMD models include chips from the Ryzen 4000 series, including the Ryzen 5 4680U and Ryzen 7 4980U.
While Intel models have their latest 11th generation processors, including Core 15-1145G7 and Core i7-1185G7.
Aside from chipsets, there appears to be very little change between Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Laptop 3.
Models are available in sizes of 13.5 and 15 inches, and these are also the models presented by Surface Laptop 3, and all models come with an aspect ratio of 3: 2.
The device's resolution of 13.5 inches is supposed to be 2256 x 1504 pixels, while the resolution of the device at 15 inches is 2496 x 1664 pixels, and this is also the same resolution provided by Surface Laptop 3 devices.
And the aspect ratio of 3: 2 has been a staple of Microsoft's Surface products for a few years now.
And the RAM is up to a maximum of 32GB, but it looks like if you want that much memory you need to get the Intel model, as AMD models only come to 16GB.
Storage is up to 1 TB, and likewise, only Intel models seem to provide this amount of storage, while storage across AMD models is a maximum of 512GB.
And if the leaks are true, then that means Microsoft is taking a similar approach to the Surface Laptop 4 as it did with Surface Book 3 last spring - that is, updating the chipset with minimal changes to the chassis.
It is clear that Microsoft will not make adjustments to the design, although the edges of notebook computers are shrinking all over the market, the structure is getting lighter, and customers expect a more elegant and modern appearance from both high-quality products, such as: Dell XPS and HP Specter.
