Liverpool contacted Fiorentina's defender to sign him in the summer
Italian press reports revealed that Liverpool had contacted the agent of a defender from the Italian league, to discuss the possibility of joining him in the next summer transfer season.
Liverpool are suffering in terms of defense this season, in light of the long-term injuries of Virgil van Dyck and Joe Gomez.
Although the English Premier League champions signed Ouzan Kabak and Ben Davis in this year's Mercato, the management is looking forward to a new defense deal at the end of the current season.
According to the Italian newspaper "Corriere dello Sport", Liverpool is considering signing Nikola Milinkovic from the ranks of Fiorentina in the upcoming summer Mercato.
The Serbian defender's current contract with Fiorentina will expire in the summer of 2022.
She indicated that Liverpool had taken a serious step to settle the transfer of Nikola Milinkovic to Anfield.
She explained that Liverpool officials have already contacted Nikola Milinkovic's agent, to discuss the possibility of winning his services once this season is over.
And reported that Fiorentina management may agree to the departure of the 23-year-old in exchange for 30 million pounds.
