Klopp: We have to improve in defense and Davis gets his chance at the right time
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp confirmed that the Reds must have solid defense in the upcoming matches, in order to return to the right path.
Liverpool is suffering this season and is ranked eighth in the Premier League, specifically in defense, after the trio Van Dyck, Gomez and Joel Matip were injured.
"What we have to show is consistency. We have to defend in a good way, if we can do that, we can build," Klopp said in statements at the press conference to face Wolverhampton next Monday.
He added: "It is about defense in general, as a playmaker you can choose the appropriate balls in the pass so that they do not rebound on the defense, this is what makes defense easier, which should be to help Kabak and Phillips."
Regarding the duo, Kabak and Phillips, Klopp said: "I hope they will continue and neither of them will be injured. Ben Davis must also adapt, and we have the story of Robertson who took half a year to adapt."
He concluded: "Ben Davis should only train. It was clear that we would not start with new players if we did not have to. With time, any new player will get used to the way of playing, and Davis will play when he is ready."
