Klopp: I am experiencing the worst times with Liverpool ... and I don't think about the top four!
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp has admitted he is living through his worst period of his career after losing today to Fulham.
Liverpool suffered a sixth consecutive defeat at Anfield, by falling today to Fulham, with a goal, in the twenty-seventh round of the Premier League.
When asked if it was the worst period in his career, Klopp replied in statements published by the BBC World Service: "I would like to say no, but yes, it is."
He added, "This is not a problem. You do not always have to spend the best of times. We were very successful and now we have a difficult situation, but we will fight."
In response to the possibility of ending the season in the top four in light of poor results, Klopp replied: "You can imagine that this is not of my interest at the moment, I cannot think of that."
He continued: "We have to win football matches, we have to win one game and this will be really useful, and then we will see what happens."
Klopp: Mohamed Salah caused problems for Fulham ... and losing with a goal of a normal result, but!
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp commented on the loss they suffered today against Fulham, in the Premier League championship.
Liverpool lost at Anfield, 1-0, in the 27th round.
"We knew that Fulham would cause us problems. This is clear. They are in a good moment, they are a good team," Klopp said in statements published by the BBC.
He added, "We all agree that a team like Fulham should remain in the English Premier League. There were moments when we could have had a greater impact on the match."
He continued: "It is clear that we had to adapt, we started well, we were direct and Mohamed Salah was causing them problems but we did not finish the attacks, then Fulham was good, we had balls in the back where we had to run a lot and we were not in the right place and we met the goal." .
He continued: "Scoring their goal before the end of the first half was a big blow. We tried to respond and the boys showed that. In the end, we do not score goals and this is a big problem."
He continued, "We didn't have any momentum in the season. You can see that the boys still have everything but at the moment they can't show it. It would be huge to figure out how to change that overnight."
And he added: "I usually say that losing 1-0 is not a problem, it is a normal result, and one of three possible results, but of course at the moment for us it is different."
