Karius is expected to move to Bayern Munich in the summer

Surprise reports: Karius is expected to move to Bayern Munich in the summer

German reports sparked a heavy surprise after it was reported that Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius may be a candidate to move to Bayern Munich next summer.

Karius is currently playing for the German club Union Berlin, on loan until the end of the current season.

Carius' current contract with Liverpool will end in the summer of 2022, but it is not part of coach Juergen Klopp's plans since his disastrous mistakes in the Champions League final.

Carius was one of the reasons for Liverpool's loss to Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League Final, with three goals.

After that, the German goalkeeper deported to Besiktas, Turkey, on loan for two seasons, but he cut short his loan before the end of the period due to a dispute over financial dues.

The English "Liverpool Echo" network, according to the German "sport1" channel, stated that Karius is one of the goalkeepers who are candidates to move to Bayern Munich next summer to provide support for Manuel Neuer.

The reason is that the second goalkeeper at the Allianz Arena, Alexander Noble, is likely to leave Monaco on loan in the upcoming summer transfer season, she said.

She indicated that the other two Bayern Munich goalkeepers, Christian Frostel and Ron Thorben, do not have the quality and experience to qualify them to play the role of second goalkeeper behind Neuer.

She reported that this would push Bayern Munich's management to search for a new goalkeeper, and there Karius is among the candidates, especially because he will be available for a price that is not great.

Bayern Munich can reach an agreement with Liverpool on joining Karius in exchange for a small fee, especially since the goalkeeper has no future at Anfield, and it would be better to sell him for a sum instead of leaving him for free when his contract expires next year.
