Instagram integrate Reels' videos into Facebook feed

As short videos continue to grow in popularity in India, Facebook continues to find ways to push Instagram Reels to multiple users across its platforms.

In testing, some Indian users who created 30-second long Reels videos via Instagram will have the option to recommend them via Facebook and Facebook Watch.

In addition, the social media giant said: It will have its own version of the Reels videos feature through its main application.

A Facebook spokeswoman told Reuters: In India, we're testing the ability of Instagram content makers to choose to recommend their Reels videos on Facebook.

She added: Content creators can reach new audiences, and people can create and discover more entertainment content.

Reels' videos represent the company's version of TikTok, where users can record short videos suitable for mobile devices and add special effects and audio clips pulled from the music library.

The feature was launched in the wake of the Tik Tok ban in India in June of last year, after the Chinese app created a craze among Indian users for short videos.

The success of TikTok has prompted many social media companies to add short video services to their platforms, with Snap's Snapchat launching the Spotlight feature last November.

And within the feature's camera feature, you see a variety of creative editing tools on the right side of your screen, and moreover, you can add sound to your Reels feed, and you can also include a song from Facebook's music library.

You can also use the original audio or add audio from the camera before capturing the clip, or you can add the audio later after capturing or uploading the clip.
