How to use the Favorites feature in Edge Browser to manage and organize websites
The Microsoft Edge browser includes a feature called Favorites to save your favorite websites and synchronize them between devices easily, in addition to that, the browser not only allows you to save your favorite sites but also offers you settings that allow you to manage and organize them to access them quickly when browsing the Internet.
How to use the Favorites feature in Edge Browser to manage and organize websites
First: How to save websites as favorites in Edge browser
To save your frequently visited websites as favorites in Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer.
- Go to the website you want to save to favorites.
- Click on the star icon on the right side of the address bar.
- In the popup that appears, specify a name for the website link you want to save.
- Use the drop-down menu under the Folder option to specify the location to save the web link.
- After completing, press the option (Done).
- The website link will now be saved to the list you selected and synced across devices if you log into it with the same Microsoft account.
Second: How to access the sites that you have saved:
To show websites that you have saved to your favorites, at the bottom of the address bar, follow these steps:
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer.
- On the main screen of the browser, tap the three dots on the top right-hand side.
- From the menu that appears, press the Settings option.
- On the screen that appears, click on the Appearance option on the left side of the screen.
- Under the Customize toolbar section, use the drop-down menu in the Show favorites bar option and select one of the following options: (always) Always, (never) Never, or (only on new tabs) Only on new tabs.
- After completing the previous steps, the Favorites bar will appear below the address bar in Microsoft Edge.
Third: How to sync favorites in Microsoft Edge browser:
Logging in to the Microsoft Edge browser with your Microsoft account allows you to keep a backup copy of the website links in your account and quickly access them on any other device when you log in with the same Microsoft account, and to do so, follow the following steps:
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer.
- On the main screen of the browser, tap the three dots in the top right-hand side.
- From the menu that appears, press the Settings option.
- On the screen that appears, click on the option (Personal Accounts) Profiles on the left side of the screen.
- On the right side of the screen, press the option (sync) Sync.
- Activate sync if it is not activated by clicking on the option (Turn on sync).
- Confirm the order by pressing the Confirm button.
- After activating sync, toggle the button under the Favorites option to On.
- After completing the previous steps, links to websites saved in your favorites will be synchronized with your account in the cloud storage service and accessed when you log into the browser with the same Microsoft account.
