Gerrard responds to the news of Liverpool leadership after winning the Scottish League title
Steven Gerrard, coach of the Rangers' first football team, responded to news of Liverpool's future leadership days after winning the Scottish League.
Gerrard's name has been linked by the English press that he may be the next coach to train Liverpool if the current coach, Jurgen Klopp, is gone.
The Rangers coach spoke of the interest of foreign clubs in him in statements to the British newspaper "Daily Telegraph", and said: "Yes, it did happen, but I will not explain more than that."
He added, "This is what makes me know that I am on the right track, doing a good job with the team, but I am thinking of staying for the time being with Rangers."
And about Liverpool training: "This question has always haunted me in all my press and TV conversations, and I do not want to comment on it because enough has been said about it."
He concluded his remarks: "But I already have internal goals and desires that I want to strive for."
