Canon announced three versions of its range of accessories, which are available for initial order via Adorama, Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo, with retailers indicating that initial orders are expected to ship on March 25th.

Each kit contains different parts, but all 3 packages include a USB cable to connect the camera to a desktop or laptop computer, a battery insert and a power cord so you can keep your Canon camera powered by the wall outlet.

It is important to note that none of these kits contain a tripod for mounting the camera.

Two of the kits are sold at $ 89.99 each and are compatible with the EOS M series (M50, M50 Mark II and M200), as well as the EOS Rebel series (Rebel T3, T5, T6 and T7).

The more expensive group, which works with the EOS RP cameras, sells for $ 159.99.

Camera owners can purchase an external charging kit with USB cable for less than the cost of Canon kits.

Canon's official website also offers a webcam driver kit for $ 466 for those without a camera.

While the Coronavirus pandemic brought the world to a standstill in 2020, it has helped increase the demand for web cameras, with many people working from home or relying on video conferencing tools to communicate.

Many people have turned to their smartphones, tablets, and laptops to stay in touch with their daily lives, but they have learned that web cameras and front-facing cameras are not enough.

This created a surge in demand for devices that offer higher video resolutions, and companies struggled to chase the growing demand for better-quality cameras.

Canon, like its competitors, launched the EOS Webcam Utility for Windows 10, which allowed owners to reuse specific Canon cameras as web cameras to address the shortage.
