Barnes: Salah, Mane and Firmino are blocking Mbappe and Haaland deal in Liverpool
Liverpool legend John Barnes asked officials of the English giant to include a star of the first football team at Real Madrid to strengthen the defender's position in Mercato next summer.
Barnes clarified his point of view in statements carried by the British newspaper, "Metro", and said: "I think that the contract with Varane will be a great deal, a fast player and a good defender and brilliant in dealing with the ball, so it will be suitable for the way in which Liverpool plays."
He added, "Varane is in addition to any team that will sign him in the Premier League, but if he leaves Real Madrid, there will be a lot of clubs interested in joining him."
He continued:
"Mbappe and Haaland are also the solution to Liverpool's offensive problems, but they will also be great at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and every major team in Europe."
And he continued his remarks: "Offensive deals are not a priority at Liverpool, because they have Mohamed Salah, Mane and Firmino and are making great performances and are among the best scorers in the English Premier League."
He continued: "However, given the age of the attacking trio, there should be a plan to replace them in the long run, but in the near future, Mbappe or Haaland will not come to Liverpool if Mohamed Salah, Mane and Firmino continue."
