Arsenal legend: Klopp does not do his job and has lost his character .. Liverpool must sell Mohamed Salah to change the team
Arsenal legend Perry Groves believes that Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp is not doing his job properly at the moment, calling on the club management to discuss with him as well the issue of selling Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool is suffering from poor results in the current season of the English Premier League.
Liverpool are currently eighth, with only 43 points, after 28 matches.
The defending champions lost 1-0 to Fulham, their sixth consecutive loss at Anfield.
"There is a crisis in Liverpool. They have lost their last six matches at home, and have scored two goals in the last eight matches at home," Groves said in statements published by the English "talksport" network.
He added: "I don't think Juergen Klopp is doing his job properly at the moment, he does not show leadership qualities, he does not have the same personality that we all saw before when Liverpool were winning."
He continued, "This is where you need to show your leadership skills. If things are not going well, you should have a different personality when you go to the training ground and when you are around your players."
And he continued: "Liverpool's owners should sit down with Klopp and ask him, 'Do you have the desire and do you have the energy to change this team?')
And he continued: "Whether that means selling Mohamed Salah and getting the money resulting from selling him and buying others, and changing four, five or six of the team's players."
There is much speculation about Mohamed Salah's future with Liverpool, and club legend Robbie Fuller asked not to refuse his departure if he wanted to (see details from here).
And Abizaid: "Klopp must be honest and say if he has the energy and desire, if he does not have it, it is up to him to decide whether he will go or not."
He concluded: "If Liverpool fans start to turn against Klopp, he will go. He is the type of coach who will leave if they lose the support of the fans."
