Arnold on Liverpool's defeat by Chelsea: We have a penalty kick that has not been awarded ... and no one knows the answer to the million dollar question!
England international, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool full-back, commented on his team's defeat by Chelsea in the Premier League.
Liverpool fell in "Anfield" with a clean goal at the hands of Chelsea, in the match between the two teams yesterday evening, Thursday, in the twenty-ninth round of the English Premier League.
In statements to the club's official website, Arnold said:
"It is difficult to accept this defeat, because these are the matches we need to win, especially with our goals for this season."
He added:
"We want to be among the Big Four, it was very important to beat Chelsea, but we couldn't do that. We have to learn from what happened today and extract what we could have done better and come back again."
He stressed:
"We need to react quickly to set the record straight on Sunday."
Asked if he felt he was missing out on Liverpool's performance, he replied:
This is the million dollar question for us at the moment. I think we played well, but we did not create many chances in the match, they prevented us from that. "
And continue:
"I think Sadio had half a chance as he couldn't control the ball, and there was a penalty kick that was not awarded to us, but it is one of those matches where it gets frustrating; I don't really think we deserve to win at the end of the day, so it was hard to accept." The result".
And he continued:
"We have to go back to playing our normal way again, there is a match coming up so we have to forget what happened against Chelsea, and prepare for Sunday's match, it will be difficult, and we have to appear well."
He concluded his remarks by talking about the players returning from injury, saying:
"It's a good push, but there are still a lot of players injured, and despite that there are no excuses, we have a good enough team to win."
