Apple stops selling the iMac Pro

Apple has stopped production of the iMac Pro and continues to sell its devices until stock runs out, according to a new message added to the desktop product page.

The company said: After supplies run out, the iMac Pro will not be available, as the only version currently available in the Standard Edition, which costs $ 5,000.

Apple stops selling the iMac Pro

All Build-to-Demand configurations for the iMac Pro have been removed from the Apple website, but may still be available from third-party retailers, such as Amazon.

The iMac Pro was released in 2017 as the most powerful Mac computer from Apple at the time, targeting games, virtual reality, editing, and advanced graphics.

It has not been clear over the years whether the iMac Pro has sold well, nor has the computer received major hardware updates since its first appearance.

Its place in the Apple family of products was also swinging, as the Mac Pro for 2019 targeted people who wanted an advanced workstation, and the device faced competition from advanced iMac models in terms of performance.

In addition, keeping the iMac Pro may be illogical for the company, as it is said that it plans to redesign the iMac and launch new versions later this year with the disposal of the Intel chip and replacing it with the Apple Silicon chip.

It is reported that the 2020 27-inch iMac will be the last to feature the traditional iMac design or the thicker bezels around the screen with an aluminum chin and the large Apple logo in the middle.

And if the rumors are correct, this marks the first modification of the iMac in nine years, and the company is also alleged to be working on two new Mac Pro devices, which are the most expensive desktop computer.

Apple said: The 27-inch iMac it released last summer, which is likely the last with an Intel chip, is the preferred choice for the vast majority of professional iMac users.

The company added that customers who need more performance and expandability can choose the Mac Pro.

The 27-inch iMac features a 5K display with True Tone with a 10th-generation Intel Core i9 processor, 128 GB of RAM, 8 TB of storage, AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT graphics, 10 Gigabit Ethernet option, and a 1080 HD camera. Enhanced pixels, speakers, and microphones.
