Algeria defender is back on Liverpool's radar again

Algeria defender is back on Liverpool's radar again

Liverpool has returned to its previous interest in joining the defender of the first football team at Real Betis and the Algerian national team, Issa Mandi, in order to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer period.

Mandy's name was linked in 2020 with the possibility of moving to Liverpool, but English club officials did not officially move to settle the deal with Real Betis.

Mandy, 29, has contract expired on June 30, and he has not reached an agreement with the Spanish club for the sake of renewal and survival, which is what Liverpool wants to use to strengthen its defenses, according to the Spanish newspaper "La Razon".

Liverpool wants to sign Mandy for free after his contract with Real Betis expires, and his officials are seriously considering starting negotiations with the Algerian international to find out his conditions for joining the "Anfield" castle.

It is worth noting that Liverpool is suffering from a crisis in the defense line due to the many injuries that are chasing it this season and has kept distinguished players such as Virgil van Dyck, Joe Gomez and Fabinho for long periods.
