Zidane's first comment about facing Liverpool in the Champions League
French coach Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid's coach, commented on Liverpool's Champions League match against Liverpool.
Real Madrid meet Liverpool in the quarter-finals, where the draw was held on Friday.
Zidane spoke at a press conference on the Real Madrid and Celta Vigo match in La Liga, to be played tomorrow, Saturday, and the Spanish newspaper "AS" published his statements.
Zidane said about facing Liverpool: "We know the difficulties at this level, at this level all the teams are very good and very difficult."
And he added: "It will be a very difficult game. We know this team. Physically it will ask you for many things. I do not like to say whether the draw is good or bad at all."
"You can see how Liverpool play in the Premier League, but in these knockout matches they can do more, they are like us," he added.
"It will be a good match between two teams that have won many titles in the Champions League, and at this level it will be very difficult to win," he stressed.
Real Madrid, the only representative of Spanish football in the Champions League, is it a coincidence, or is the level of other teams lower?
Zidane replied: "Not at all, it is a coincidence, all the Spanish teams are very good, it will not change this year, the Spaniards will always be competitors."
And about the confrontation of Liverpool, then El Clasico against Barcelona, and then the second leg with Liverpool again, the Frenchman commented: "Every year in the decisive stage of the season, you always risk everything."
He stressed: "I do not look at those things, but every day what encourages us is the start of a new day, and the rest relates to your philosophy. We talk about many things. We are still alive, working and competing, and this is what encourages us."
And about the possibility of playing the first-leg match in a neutral stadium against Liverpool, will there be an additional difficulty?
