Former Liverpool striker: There is no problem between Mohamed Salah and Mane ... Klopp should be happy
Neil Mellor, the former Liverpool striker, believes that there are no problems between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the two stars of the team, despite recent reports and rumors.
Liverpool yesterday won a double over Leipzig at the Puskas Stadium in Hungary, with the double of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, in the second leg of the 16th round of the Champions League.
Reports indicated a tension in the relationship of Egyptian Mohamed Salah and Senegalese Sadio Mane, especially since there are moments when one chooses not to pass for the other, and the absence of celebration between them after the goals.
In statements to "TalkSport" British radio, Mellor said:
"The rivalry between Mohamed Salah is a purely healthy one. I think they always want to be the most prominent."
He added:
"This is in them. They want to do everything to score goals. I don't think there is a problem between them at all."
He noted:
"If you look at the number of attempts by Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, they are all trying to do a lot for his team. I am a striker and I know that very well."
He concluded:
"Klopp should be happy that he has Mane and Mohamed Salah, a formidable force for Liverpool's attack."
