Mohamed Salah implicates Liverpool after Egypt qualified for the African Nations
The Liverpool team faces the possibility of losing star Mohamed Salah in the middle of next season 2021/22.
The English "Liverpool Echo" network stated that there is a possibility that Liverpool will lose the services of the trio, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Naby Keita, in the middle of the new season.
She explained that the reason for this is that Egypt, Senegal, and Guinea have qualified for the next edition of the African Nations Cup in Cameroon.
The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in January 2021 and was postponed for 12 months due to the Coronavirus.
With Salah, Mane, and Keita as key players with their teams, it is likely that they will participate in the African Championship, which means their expected absence from Liverpool.
The Egyptian national team qualified for the African Nations Cup, after a draw with Kenya, this evening, with a goal to the same.
Guinea also qualified yesterday after defeating Mali with a clean goal, while Senegal qualified earlier.
The African Championships were supposed to be held in the summer, but Cameroon's climate during June and July forced the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to rethink.
The competition will start in early January and end at the beginning of February, and the African stars based in Europe are likely to be left out of local stadiums for a number of matches.
