McManaman urges Liverpool to sign the Leeds striker, despite the presence of Salah and Mane

Former England star, Steve McManaman, urged Liverpool to sign Leeds United's first-team winger, Ravenha, during the upcoming summer Mercato.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has scored 5 goals this season with Leeds United and has made the same, under coach Marcelo Bielsa, and is one of the most important players in the Premier League.

Ravenha's name has been linked to the possibility of moving to Liverpool in order to compensate for the possible departure of Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane in the future, but there is also interest from Manchester United and its technical director Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

McManaman spoke about his point of view on Ravenha with comments to HorseRacing, and said, "I am not surprised by the clubs' interest in including this player because he is exceptional."

He continued: "He moved at the beginning of the season to the English Premier League only, so his adaptation to the atmosphere in England is a great advantage, and it indicates the distinctive technical capabilities he possesses."

He added: "I do not want to underestimate Leeds United's respect, but Ravenha can move to one of the six biggest clubs in England, and I think a team like Liverpool needs a player like him to make some change offensively."

And he continued his remarks: "When you see a team like Bayern Munich, you see that they depend on Sani and Koeman, but they also have Serge Gnabry and Douglas Costa, these are the two players who can change the way the team relies on, and this is what Liverpool needs."

And he continued: "Liverpool owns Mohamed Salah, Mane, Firmino and Jota, but Liverpool relies heavily on the launches of the two full-backs, whether Arnold or Robertson, which does not help at all times."

He concluded his remarks: "A player like Ravenha has different capabilities than Liverpool now has. He can play in more than one position and have complete freedom in attack, but this deal will need a lot of money in order to convince Leeds United to sell him next summer."
