Times: Liverpool wants Mohamed Salah and Mane to leave Mercato in the summer
Rory Smith, the American journalist, believes that Liverpool may want to sell Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, during the upcoming summer transfer period.
The African duo was linked to leaving Liverpool at the end of the current season, in light of the financial crisis and the Reds ’desire to strengthen their ranks.
Rory Smith, a journalist for the American newspaper "The New York Times", confirmed that Liverpool would be happy to abandon Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane in the summer.
He said: "I am completely sure, that Liverpool had expected to sell Mani or Salah last summer, but the Corona crisis made things more difficult, and no one was able to bear the cost of contracting with them."
He added: "Rami Abbas, Mohamed Salah's agent, after he left against Chelsea, posted an ambiguous tweet, but it was indicating something, perhaps the last straw."
He continued: "Barcelona has big debts, as well as Real Madrid, which is trying to build a new stadium. Paris Saint-Germain can include Mohamed Salah, but he is not on their list of goals."
He pointed out: "A year ago, it would have been absurd to think of selling Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, but now it makes sense, especially given that the duo are moving away from the best condition this season."
Mohamed Salah this season scored 17 goals in the English Premier League, while Sadio Mane only 5 goals, and it does not seem like it was before.
