There is a desire from the English club to include Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, but there are also some other names.
The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that Liverpool were considering signing Villarreal and Spain's defender, Pau Torres.
Klopp will choose during the next period between Konate and Torres to sign one of them to join Liverpool before the start of the next season to fill the defensive gaps.
Leipzig decides the fate of Konate
Leipzig, the German league champions, responded to news of Liverpool's interest in joining the defender of the first football team, Ibrahima Konate, during the next summer Mercato.
Over the past few days, reports by the English press have increased about the desire of Liverpool and their coach, Juergen Klopp, to strengthen the Reds' defense by annexing the young Frenchman.
The sporting director of Leipzig, Marcus Crouch, spoke about the future of Konate and the possibility of leaving for Liverpool in his interview with "Sky Sports", and said: "I think that this is not an option for Brahima."
He continued, "The Konate contract has been in effect for many years, and knows what we mean to him and what it means to us in Leipzig."
He added, "He suffered a long-term injury last season, but this season is developing well and we consider him a very important player for us and he has great technical potential."
He concluded his remarks: "We want to help him develop more. We play in the Champions League every season and we have a good team, so I don't see a reason for him to leave us."
