Liverpool take advantage of the Turkey-Norway match to monitor a new goalkeeper
Liverpool intends to send scouts to follow one of the Turkish national team players during the confrontation with Norway, this evening in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The two teams meet this evening as part of the second round of qualifiers.
And the English "anfieldwatch" network, citing Turkish reports, stated that Liverpool intends to monitor the Turkish goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
She explained that the Liverpool administration will send its scouts for the aforementioned day's match to follow the Trabzonspor goalkeeper.
Cakir was previously linked with a move to Liverpool last summer.
The network reported that there are three clubs interested in Ugurcan Cakir, namely, Liverpool, Chelsea, and West Bromwich Albion.
She indicated that the three English clubs will closely watch Cakir in the Turkey-Norway match.
According to reports, Liverpool sees Cakir as a suitable substitute for Adrian, whose current contract at Anfield will expire at the end of the current season.
Cakir may be the second choice for coach Juergen Klopp, behind Alison Baker, if he agrees to transfer Kelleher on loan to another club next summer.
Cakir participated in Turkey's match against the Netherlands in the first round of World Cup qualifiers, last Wednesday, where his country won four goals to two.
