Wijnaldum substitute .. Reports: Liverpool aims to include a Norwegian talent
Press reports revealed that the English club, Liverpool, wants to include a new midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window to succeed the Dutchman, Jorginho Vinaldo, at Anfield.
The Dutch player's current contract with the English Premier League champions will expire in the summer of 2021, and Wijnaldum can enter into negotiations with any club.
Wijnaldum wants to obtain a 4-year contract in order to approve an extension of his residency at Anfield, but the Reds administration rejects this request, so the two parties have not reached any agreement on a new contract so far.
According to the British newspaper "Liverpool Echo", Liverpool wants to sign the Norwegian international player Sander Berg from Sheffield United.
Berg, 23, plays defender anchor and midfielder (8), and the Reds have liked him.
The newspaper stated that Berg wants to leave Sheffield United next summer, as his team is close to relegation to the Premier League (Championship).
Sander Berg joined Sheffield United, in Winter 2020, from Genk, Belgium, for £ 22 million.
Berg did not play much this season with Sheffield because of injury, he played 13 Premier League matches, and managed to score a goal and set the same.
