Real Madrid revives Liverpool's hopes about the inclusion of Varane
Real Madrid, the Premier League club, has revived Liverpool's hopes about the possibility of signing the defender of the first football team, Raphael Varane, during the upcoming summer transfer period.
Varane's contract with Real Madrid ends in June 2022, and so far, the Frenchman has not reached an agreement with the Spanish club to continue for a longer period even though he is one of the pillars of the team under the coach, Zinedine Zidane.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Ok Diario", Liverpool is seeking to sign Varane and use his contract to expire at Real Madrid to bolster his defenses in the next season.
But the problem was in return for the financial deal, as Real Madrid had previously set an amount of 70 million euros to dispense with Varane, and this was the only obstacle for Liverpool to move officially.
The Spanish newspaper reported that Real Madrid has reduced its financial demands from 70 million euros to 49.5 million euros, which may help Liverpool in settling the deal.
There have been many criticisms against Varane in the past period, especially because of his low level and his inability to take responsibility for defense at Real Madrid with the absence of the captain, Sergio Ramos, due to injuries.
