Manchester United continues their journey in the European League
Manchester United qualified for the final price of the European League competition, by tying it against Real Sociedad without goals, in the meeting that brought them together this evening, Thursday, at Old Trafford, in the 32 round of the aforementioned tournament.
The Red Devils took advantage of their 4-0 victory in the first leg of the Allianz Stadio in Turin, to reserve their place in the round of 16 of the European League competition.
Both teams had several opportunities to score, most notably the penalty kick that Real Sociedad got in the 12th minute, which was executed by Michael Uyarzabal, but he wasted it after he hit the ball next to the post.
Anthony Martial fired a powerful shot in the 22nd minute from the edge of the penalty area, Real Sociedad's goalkeeper brilliantly tackled it, and ten minutes later, Daniel James hit a header but did not know its way towards the goal, as it came out shortly.
In the second half, Sociedad tried to score an honorary goal, but failed to do so, and the confrontation ended with a goalless draw.
Leicester bid farewell to the European League
In another match, Leicester left the European League Championship after it was defeated by Slavia Bragg with two goals gratis, knowing that the position to go at the King Power Stadium ended in a 0-0 draw.
