Klopp: I hope Mohamed Salah will stay in Liverpool for the longest time
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp hopes that star Mohamed Salah will stay with the Premier League title holder for as long as possible.
Mohamed Salah's current contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023.
There is strong speculation about the future of the Egyptian star with Liverpool, as it has been linked more than once to the move to leave Anfield.
Salah raised speculation more than once about his future, after he held an interview with the Spanish newspaper "AS" last December.
Salah left the door to leaving Liverpool open, hinting at the possibility of his departure to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
"It is a bit embarrassing when I have to praise my players, which is what I like to do to be honest," Klopp said in statements published by the English "Liverpool Echo" network.
"But especially in Mo's case, the numbers speak for themselves," he added.
And the German continued: "Mo is not only a scorer, he has developed as a soccer player as well. He is very, very important to us, and I hope that he will continue like this for a longer period of time, of course."
"It is very important, both for the team and for Mo, that he stays with us," he concluded.
