Injury deprives Manchester United of Paul Pogba for several weeks
Manchester United announced on Monday that French midfielder Paul Pogba will be out of action for several weeks due to a thigh muscle injury.
Pogba, the winner of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, was injured during his team's 3-3 draw with Everton, and his absence may extend to March.
Pogba underwent medical examinations to determine the extent of the injury, which indicated the necessity of his absence during the next influential period, during which Manchester will play a number of important matches at home and outside it.
"It's an injury that takes several weeks to recover," Manchester coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the official website of his team.
"He has just started the recovery process. He is working with the medical device and we will restore it as soon as possible when he is safe."
He concluded by saying, "Of course Paul is very important to us and we will not take any risks, for several weeks of course."
