Google VPN is out of beta and is now offering it officially
Today, we find a variety of VPN services to browse the internet safely. Therefore, it is not surprising that a large company like Google, one of the most vocal advocates of internet security, has launched its own VPN service, which today finally leaves its beta phase on Android, and will soon also arrive on iOS.
Today is Safer Internet Day, and Google wanted to celebrate it with its own way of announcing Google Fi VPN. As Google describes, and as other VPNs do, Google Fi VPN allows you to browse and download in an encrypted and private environment, and protect your real IP address. Thanks to this, your network activity will be anonymous and no one will be able to know your true location. In addition, all your traffic will be encrypted, even on public and unsecured networks.
Google offers a free VPN service to Google Fi subscribers
So a free VPN protects users from all kinds of attacks, although it does not prevent Google from intruding on users' traffic. The good thing about this service is that it is included for all Google Fi subscribers, allowing you to surf all kinds of networks on your mobile phone with complete safety so that the data is not spied on.
Google Fi VPN service can be controlled through the new application launched by Google. In addition, it not only protects mobile traffic but also against advertising calls by automatically blocking numbers identified as fraud, abusive ads or automatic calls.
Google Fi VPN also protects against SIM spoofing attacks, as the attack can impersonate you and create a duplicate card on your behalf, leaving you without a phone. With Google Fi, the phone number is associated with a Google account and can be used for two-step verification for this process.
