For the first time, Mohamed Salah wins the Premier League goal of the month award
Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for the first time in his career.
Mohamed Salah's fantastic goal against West Ham United was voted the best goal of the month in January at Premier League.
Salah won the award based on votes from fans, as he topped an eight-goal shortlist.
"Thank you, I think it was also an important goal for us because it was the second goal, so it helped us relax a little bit."
he added:
"This is a group goal because it started from a corner kick in front of us. It started with Robertson's header, then Trent Alexander-Arnold, then Shaqiri, who in turn passed it to me, so it was a goal for the team."
The 28-year-old said: "So it feels great to score such goals, but the most important thing is that we won the match, and this is what makes the goal very special."
It is reported that Salah tops the list of Premier League scorer with 16 goals, and hopes to enhance his goalscoring tally on Saturday in the face of Leicester City in the 24th round of the English Premier League.
