Bitcoin miners are now making $ 33 million a day ... Details here
Bitcoin mining revenue is $ 33 million per day, according to Glassnode, a figure we haven't seen since 2017.
The total proceeds of miners result from the rewards awarded with every block mined in the Bitcoin network.
Revenue reached $ 33 million per day, a figure that was only overcome for five days during the famous Bitcoin bullish race in December 2017.
The increase also represents a big increase since the start of the new year.
Raphael Schultz Kraft, Technical Director of Glassnode, tweeted:
Bitcoin miners are happy.
#Bitcoin miners be happy.

Current revenue: $33 million / day
Between the last halving and October, the average daily revenue was at around $10M.
And only within 5 weeks in late 2017 has this number been higher.
The mining death spiral at play.

On December 16, 2020, Bitcoin mining revenues totaled $ 17 million, meaning that total revenue has increased by more than 90% since the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021.
However, as we were told, this rise is not unprecedented, on December 18, 2017, total Bitcoin mining revenue was just under $ 50 million.
But the current rise in bitcoin mining revenue of $ 33 million came just one month after revenue figures of around $ 17 million.
Previously, when bitcoin prices collapsed after a 2017 rally, total bitcoin mining revenue fell to $ 16 million by mid-February 2018.
Could that happen again?
