What is Brave?
Brave is a web browser, just like Google Chrome or Firefox. It is an open-source browser designed to protect the privacy of its users. The creator of Brave is Brendan Eich. He is also the creator of the JavaScript language and co-founder of Mozilla Firefox.

Why use Brave?
One of Brave's major assets is that it can load pages faster than Chrome or Firefox. Not including ads and trackers (cookies that record your browsing habits) is a big part of it. Advertising is always present on the search engine, but more on the sites you visit!
Brave can also reduce internet consumption (which can be useful for mobile packages that do not offer 4G unlimited) since it is not necessary to download ads.
But that's not all, Brave is also working on the privacy of its users. No advertising is displayed without the browser users' knowledge. Brave's servers do not store personal browsing data. They remain private on your devices until you decide to delete them. Obviously, no data is therefore sold to third parties, since they are accessible by no one but you.
Brave Shields
With Brave Shields (the shield) you stay in control of the information you communicate. It tells you the number of ads, trackers and scripts blocked.
You can then choose what you want to block or not. Thus, you will no longer be followed, recognized and targeted because it will no longer be possible to identify you.
Brave Payments
Thanks to its support system, Brave Payments allows its users to support their favorite sites thanks to its blockchain-based tokens. These tokens are called Basic Attention Tokens (BAT). It is thus possible to support the creators of content that we love by choosing an amount to pay to them. These few dollars (or more) can be shared between multiple sites. Brave can automatically distribute the amount of your choice based on the time spent on your favorite sites. The funds are transferred to the sites anonymously. It's impossible for owners to know that you visit their websites. Already more than 10,000 sites have registered to receive support thanks to Brave.
All you have to do is create a BAT wallet and add a certain amount. This wallet will allow you to store your BAT tokens.
When you visit sites, Brave Payments will automatically distribute this amount based on the preferences you have chosen.
